The invention relates to a thermoelectric generator (7) as electrical energy source, comprising several thermal elements (2) in which an electrical voltage is generated as a result of a temperature difference between two differing materials which is arranged on or in a massive base body (1) and mechanically and electrically combined into a larger unit. In order to increase the power capacity and achieve stacking the base body (1) has a through core (5) for the heat introduction, around which the thermal elements (2) are arranged.
