PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise-absorbing device whose functions as noise-absorbing device are not impaired, even when the hinge thereof is ruptured. SOLUTION: This noise-absorbing device NF1 comprises a first case member 11, a second case member 31, and a core 1 received in a space defined by the first case member 11 and the second case member 31 into which a cable is inserted. The first case member 11 and the second case member 31 have a pair of second side walls 13, 33 and third sidewalls 14, 34 respectively, and these sidewalls extend in the longitudinal direction of the core 1; the first case member 11 and the second case member 31 are connected together by the hinge 45, provided on the second side walls 13, 33 side and a latch 47 provided on the third side walls 14, 34 side; and an engaging piece 50 and a convex portion 51 are provided on the second side walls 13, 33 side as second engaging portions.
