PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body frame for a motorcycle capable of preventing reduction of surface rigidity and realizing improvement of appearance when side surfaces of left and right frame pieces are enlarged. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body frame for the motorcycle, the left and right frame pieces 2a, 2b made of light alloy casting positioned at a left side and a right side in a vehicle width direction are joined to each other. Stepped parts 5t are formed on side surfaces (vertical wall parts) of the left and right frame pieces 2a, 2b and a lower part (swelled part 5v) making the stepped part 5t as a border is swelled to the outer side in the vehicle width direction than an upper part (upper vertical wall part 5s'').
