<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device which has little defect in alignment due to a multi-gap level difference, a manufacturing method for the electrooptical device, and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device which is constituted by sandwiching an electrooptical material layer between a couple of substrates and has a plurality of pixels each including a reflection region and a transmission region has reflection regions arranged on mutually opposite sides of adjacent pixels; and an insulating layer for making an electrooptical material layer in a reflection region be different in layer thickness from an electrooptical material layer in a transmission region, and the insulating layer is formed on both two adjacent pixels in the direction where the reflection regions of the adjacent pixels are successive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
