PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device to allow an ink jet recording head to be attracted and held by a conveying belt to perform printing on a recording medium, which is capable of realizing high double face printing speed and miniaturized. SOLUTION: At a printing unit 22 of the ink jet recording device 10, conveying belts 14 are wound around rolls 46, 47 arranged on the inner side of rolls 42, 43, 44, 45, and face each other above and below rolls 46, 47. A storage tray 38 is arranged between a lower side conveying unit 14B with an attraction surface S of the conveying belt 14 facing downward and an upper side conveying unit 14C facing the lower side conveying unit 14B. In the double face printing mode, a static eliminating means 57 provided close to and below the roll 43 is turned on, and a paper sheet P is peeled by the lower side conveying unit 14B, and stored once in the storage tray 38. The storage tray 38 is turned downward, the paper sheet P is dropped from the storage tray 38 to the upper side conveying unit 14C, and the printing surface of the paper sheet P is attracted by a charging means 53 provided close to and above the roll 45.
