<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a hybrid vehicle which secures responsibility at transition to a fixed gear ratio mode from a stepless gear ratio mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the controller for the hybrid vehicle, a rapid transition control means is provided. When the vehicle is changed to the fixed gear ratio mode which fixes either of a first or a second motor generator from the stepless gear ratio mode, regenerative torque is generated by the fixed motor generator, torque is generated which maintains speed change moment while keeping output shaft torque to be constant by the motor generator not fixed, then the mode is changed to the fixed gear ratio mode by reducing the number of revolutions of the fixed motor generator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
