[Class 132 (ii).] A handle grip for a golf or like club comprises strips of leather b and rubberized fabric c secured together at their edges which may be square or bevelled, Figs. 2 and 3, and to a fabric backing strip d, preferably rubberized, by rubber solution or any suitable adhesive. The top end of the wrapping, Fig. 1, is shaped to give an all-leather finish, and the materials forming the composite strip may be differently coloured. The backing strip is preferably of bias cut material allowing it to stretch so that the strips may be applied under tension, and it may be dispensed with. The. finished wrapping is tapered.</p> |
