PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a limit switch of low cost, that can be used for a long period of time even under inferior environments, while common use of part members is realized. SOLUTION: In the limit switch provided with a housing, a switch action plunger housed in the housing, a shaft rotatably supported by the housing with its base end part housed inside the housing while its tip part is protruded to the outside of the housing, and an arm installed at the tip part of the shaft, turning on and off a built-in switch by making the action plunger move in accordance with the rotation of the shaft, a bearing 41 is provided between the shaft 32 and the housing 20, a seal packing 45 is interposed between the bearing and the shaft, and a chemical resistant seal packing 42 and a seal packing 43 with insignificant deterioration in the passage of time are interposed side by side between the bearing 41 and the housing.
