A protective material for protecting a waterproof layer of concrete construction is provided to have excellent resistance to water, heat, chemicals, and impact, good compressive strength and slip property, and to have insulation effect by air space. The protective material is used in protecting a waterproof layer for exterior waterproof work of concrete construction. The protective material consists of: a high density plastic resin board(1) made of copolymer of polypropylene and polyethylene, which is pressed in a predetermined shape to have prominence-depression air space; nonwoven fabric(2), which is placed in the one side of the board and united with a waterproof layer; and an adhesive(3) attaching the nonwoven fabric to the waterproof layer, which is placed in one side of the nonwoven fabric at a certain interval.
