PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of blackening of a high pressure mercury lamp having an extremely high lighting action pressure.

SOLUTION: The lamp 500 with a reflecting mirror is provided with a high pressure discharge lamp 100 and the reflecting mirror 50. The reflecting mirror 50 has a first opening 51 and a second opening 52 into which a sealing part 2 is inserted in the foreground 70 of an ejecting direction, the sealing part 2 has a first glass part 8 extended from an arc tube 1 and a second glass part 7 installed at least at a part of the inner side of the first glass part 8, and the sealing part 2 has a site to which a compressive stress is applied, and furthermore in the case the sealing part 2 is arranged in the nearly horizontal direction, a micro-cavity 71 is formed at least at the lower part 1b of the arc tube 1.
