<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic player that enables an operator to optionally set a length of a looped musical performance section and can automatically set a looped musical performance section sectioned at a musically proper position according to the optionally set length of the looped musical performance section when the looped (repeated) musical performance is carried out as an automatic player that automatically plays music according to musical performance information (specially, musical performance information including audio data). <P>SOLUTION: When a looped musical performance is indicated for an automatic musical performance based upon musical performance information, the automatic player automatically sets a looped musical performance section according to the playing position where the indication is made and a looped musical performance section length optionally set by the operator, and carries out the looped musical performance in the set looped musical performance section.
