PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer-printed precoated metallic sheet to which a printed pattern having a high contrast and gradation is imparted. SOLUTION: This precoated metallic sheet is obtained by using an embossed metallic sheet as a base material 1 and imparting the printed pattern to a coating film 2, which is formed on the surface of the material 1 and has excellent dyeability, by subliming/transferring a subliming dyestuff. A high-concentration dyestuff layer 4c is formed on the top surface T of an embossed portion, an unprinted part 4n or a low-concentration dyestuff layer 4d is formed on the bottom surface B of the embossed portion and the part 4n is also formed on the edge part R of the embossed portion. As a result, the peculiar printed pattern the contrast of which is made high by the part 4n or the layer 4d and the layer 4c and which has gradation can be exhibited. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
