PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device that is easy for a normal person to open but difficult for a person not required to operate it, such as a demented patient, to open. SOLUTION: A display part 19 of the lock device 1 displays a pattern for a fixed time, and if a user can enter a pattern equal to the displayed pattern in an input part 21, a solenoid valve 7 is opened to unlock a gas stove 9. A CPU 11 of the lock device 1 monitors the elapsed time of the unlocked state of the gas stove 9, and when a given time elapses, it closes the solenoid valve 7 to lock the gas stove 9.
