<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a developing sleeve able to abut against a photoreceptor drum with a uniform pressing force along its length direction. <P>SOLUTION: A developing container guide stay 40 which holds a developing container 14, is moved and positioned at a specified position while a developing sleeve 13 is moved along the straight line connecting the centers of rotation of the developing sleeve 13 and photoreceptor drum 5 by the movement of a cam 41 to guide both the lengthwise end sides of the developing sleeve 13, and thus the developing sleeve 13 is made to abut and pressed uniformly against the photoreceptor drum 5 along its length to prevent density unevenness, thereby performing excellent development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
