<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve outward appearance of a roof side of a vehicle by efficiently covering and hiding a curtain rail for the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In this roof side structure, the curtain rail 2 is provided along a bottom surface part 11 of a roof side rail 1 for forming an opening upper edge of a slide door opening S of a side surface of the vehicle and an opening trim 4 is fitted into a flange part 12 projecting downward from the bottom surface part 11 at a position at the outside of the vehicle. In the structure, a molding member 5 provided with an engaging groove 51 opened toward the inside of the vehicle along a lower edge of a side wall 2b at the inside of the vehicle of the curtain rail 2 is provided, the inside of the vehicle of the curtain rail 2 is covered and hidden by a molded ceiling board 3 by fitting a side end edge 31 of the mold ceiling board 3 covering the ceiling of a cabin into the engaging groove 51 of the molding member 5, and a lip 41 projecting to the inside of the vehicle is provided on the opening trim 4. By making the distal end abut on a lower edge of a side wall 2c at the outside of the vehicle of the curtain rail 2, a gap between the curtain rail 2 and the opening trim 4 is closed by the lip 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
