PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lead plate fitting structure eliminating a fear of short circuit between a positive electrode and a negative electrode by forming and placing an electrically insulating material in a suitable dimension or shape between the lead plate and the side part of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: This lead plate fitting structure is that the nickel lead plate is bent and fit to the negative electrode by spot welding, and the insulating material having suitable thickness is interposed between the side part of the secondary battery and the lead plate.
