PURPOSE: A solid electrolyte and a lithium secondary battery containing the electrolyte are provided, to improve ion conductivity to a lithium ion and thermal and chemical stabilities and to reduce cost. CONSTITUTION: The solid electrolyte is a three component system-solid electrolyte represented by xLi2S-(1-x)£yB2S3-(1-y)As2S3|, wherein 0.5<=x<=0.75 and 0<y<=0.4. Preferably the solid electrolyte has an amorphous structure and has an ion conductivity of 1x 10¬-2 to 1x10¬-3 S/cm. |
