PURPOSE: An ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cell switching circuit is provided to mediate the occupation of a data transmission bus, and to correct head errors of received data and change UTOPIA(Universal Test and Operations PHY Interface for ATM), also to perform a loop-back test of a transceiving bus. CONSTITUTION: An ATM I/F(InterFace) unit(65) receives ATM cell signals configured in communication signals of an exchange subscriber in a matching state, and transmits switched cell signals in a matching state. An APC(ATM Port Control) unit(70) receives the ATM cells from the ATM I/F unit(65) to mediate a transmitted bus and correct head errors, sets up a transmission path to a destination, and changes UTOPIA for a bust state test and UTOPIA matching. An Rx CAM unit(80) stores receiving path data of ATM cells which the APC unit(70) receives from the ATM I/F unit(65). And a Tx CAM(90) stores transmission path data for the destination of the ATM cells which the APC unit(70) switches and transmits.
