PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional intersection driving support system which is expensive because of the use of an infrared camera and increases the amount of computation because of needing processing on both images of a visual image and a warm body image. SOLUTION: Moving bodies are detected by a moving body detecting means 32 from the images of CCD cameras arranged to pick up front and side images, and the detected moving bodies are selected by a moving body selecting means 33 according to the approach state of its own vehicle to an intersection. A risk on the selected moving body is determined by a risk determining means 34, and when determined dangerous, driver is informed or warned by an informing/warning means 35. |
