PURPOSE: A local information provision system is offered to form a local community by constructing a home page for each apartment complex over the internet, and to allow a local contents provider to offer local information to residents in the local community. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a main server(30), resident terminals(11-13), a counsellor terminal(60), a local contents provider terminal(50), an electronic commerce business terminal(70), and an advertiser terminal(80). The main server(30) maintains a home page of an apartment complex constructed over the internet. The resident terminals(11-13) enable a resident to input an ID, granted at each house, and to access the main server(30). The counsellor terminal(60) makes a response to a request from the resident. The local contents provider terminal(50), connected to the main server(30), collects local data, and transmits the collected data to the main server(30). The electronic commerce business terminal(70) enables the resident to buy or sell products or services over the internet. The advertiser terminal(80) offers advertisements to the resident terminals(11-13).
