PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged pump capable of avoiding a reduction of cooling efficiency by ensuring a good passing of coolant by preventing a deposition of a small solid foreign matter such as sand mixed into a self-water such as rain water and a muddy water functioning as the cooling medium on a coolant passing hollow part. SOLUTION: A coolant passing hollow part 70 is provided so as to surround a motor frame 20 at a motor casing 2, an inlet 71 of coolant is opened at an upper portion of the coolant passing hollow part 70 and an outlet 72 of the coolant is opened at a lower end. The inlet 71 of the coolant is communicated with a back space 90 of an impeller through a coolant feeding pipe 92 provided at the outside of the coolant passing hollow part 70 and a coolant feeding passage 80 provided on a casing cover 6. The outlet 72 of the coolant is communicated with a suction port 51 of a pump casing 5 through a coolant discharge pipe 91. An air discharge hole 93 is opened at an upper end of the coolant passing hollow part 70 and an air-discharge is carried out from this air discharge hole 93.
