PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply replace a head on a user's level and highly accurately obtain a setting position accuracy for nozzles when the head is set to a carriage. SOLUTION: The head 1 is constituted of an outer cover 2, an inner cover 3, a head structure 4 and a face plate 5. The head 1 is formed of a small number of constituent parts. The face plate 5 is provided with a positioning reference face to be used when the head is set to the carriage 30, so that a nozzle array of the head 1 is accurately positioned to the carriage 30.
