PURPOSE: A range table having a rice cooking function is provided to prevent the unexpected accident that the rice is not cooked at the time of eating, by measuring a temperature of a pot, to detect the temperature balancing condition of the pot in response to the result of the measurement, stopping the heating when the temperature balancing condition can not be detected by a specific temperature, and informing the abnormality. CONSTITUTION: When a rice cooking control is started, a standard burner(103) is operated with strong flames, and whether the temperature at that time is more than 90°C or not, is decided, so that a processing for measuring the temperature balancing condition, is started, when the temperature reaches more than 90°C. The temperature balancing condition is measured by a temperature balancing condition determination part(153) comprising a balanced temperature detecting part, in a control part. Then whether the measured temperature of a temperature sensor(107) is more than 140°C or not, is decided, and the balance error is decided when the temperature is more than 140 °C. Further in the case when a casserole or the like which does not generate the temperature balancing condition even at 140°C (measurement temperature), at which the temperature balancing condition can be detected on the ordinary pot, is used, a safety valve is closed at 140 °C for the extinction, and a buzzer or the like is operated.
