<p>An apparatus for excising at least one sample from an array of samples. The apparatus includes a platform (106) which supports a digital camera (110) which records an electronic image of the sample array that is placed on the platform (106). The recorded image is sent to a computer (120) which enables a user to select various samples for excising. Excision is performed by a cutting tool assembly. The cutting tool assembly includes a rotating cutting head (192) to excise the sample and an ejector pin (174a) to eject the sample into a collection plate.</p> |
