METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognizing method capable of stably recognizing an image. SOLUTION: The method executes image recognition for recognizing the shape of a recognition mark M by picking up an image of the mark M with a camera and executing image processing for the obtained image pickup data. In this case, the outline of the acquired image is found out from the image pickup data and an outline intruded from the outer periphery of the mark M into its inside out of the found outline is deleted by convex closure processing. Consequently only an outer periphery expressing the correct shape of the mark M is extracted and stable shape recognition can be executed.
