The unit for detachable fastening of the cover has a tear section (31) which ruptures when the airbag deployment opening is clear and retaining section (39) is displaced, consequently increasing the flexibility of the fastening unit. After rupture of the tear section the retaining section remains attached to the fastening unit by means of a mounting section. The tear section has a rupture line formed by a weakening of the material.
