PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start a stepping motor smoothly without moving the rotor of the stepping motor from the position before starting to a stable energizing position, at the time of starting the stepping motor. SOLUTION: In starting a stepping motor 1 equipped with a rotor position sensor 2, with a digital converting part 4, a preset counter 5, an energizing sequence part 6 for energizing the motor, and a driving part 7 provided, (a) the rotor position sensor 2 and the digital converting part 4 permit a rotor position to be outputted in a digital signal; (b) the digital signal permits the rotor position to be preset in the preset counter 5 and the position command signal 8 from the outside permits it to be counted up or down; and (c) the energizing sequence part 6 permits such an energizing pattern that the rotor position preset in the preset counter 5 becomes a stable position under no load; thereby energizing the motor 1. |
