PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, efficiently and positively fasten optical fibers to a connecting box while damage to the optical fibers is prevented, and improve the connecting box for the optical fiber and the method of positioning the optical fibers with respect to the connecting box. SOLUTION: The connecting box for optical fibers is provided with walls having entrance slots 32, each of which is at least partly formed out of separated edge parts, and conduit tubes 42, each of which has plural radial grooves 43 and encloses optical fibers 28. The outside diameter of at least one groove out of the radial grooves 43 is approximately equal to the distance between the separated edge parts of the entrance slot, and when the separated edge parts of the entrance slot 32 is arranged in one groove out of the radial grooves 43 of the conduit tube 42, the conduit tube 42 is fastened to the connecting box. |
