FIELD: organic chemistry; production of polymers. SUBSTANCE: carbon black is intended for production of polymeric compositions and it consists of aggregates of coalesced carbon particles having size 110-600 Angstrom, particle coalescence degree in aggregate being 0.005- 0.025. Proposed method comprises combustion of fuel/air mixture in combustion chamber. Combustion products flow is constricted in mixing nozzle confuser with flow constriction velocity gradient with flow velocity gradient ranging between 0.15-0.4 m/s.mm in mixing nozzle diffuser. Carbon-containing materials are introduced into flow. Resulting carbon/gas products are subjected to primary quenching with 0.6-1 kg/kgf water after 0.006-0.009 s after introduction of carbon-containing materials, followed by finally cooling carbon/gas products. Carbon black is produced in reactor comprising, arranged in it in series and coaxially, combustion chamber, means for combustion of fuel/air mixture, mixing nozzle in form of confuser- diffuser tube, and reaction chamber. Confuser has following parameters: length $$$ = (0.5-2)d, construction angle in relation to longitudinal axis 25-63 deg., and diffuser has parameters: length $$$ = (1.5-4)d, expansion angle in relation to longitudinal axis 7-13 deg, d is confuser-diffuser tube pinch diameter. First tier of water-injecting nozzles in reaction chamber is arranged at distance equal to (9-14) d from point, at which carbon-containing materials are introduced. Finally, reactor comprises nozzles for injecting quenching water, and means for discharging carbon black. EFFECT: useful invention for producing carbon black. |
