PURPOSE:To provide a high performance foamed insulated wire by constituting a foamed insulator with polyethylene, a maleic anhydride-containing polymer, thermal expansion hollow particles, and amorphous or low crystalline ethylene alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:45 pts.wt. thermal expansion hollow particles, 25 pts.wt. maleic anhydride-containing polymer, 30 pts.wt. Mitsui elastomer X-75 are carefully kneaded with a mixing roll at 82 deg.C so that the hollow particles are not expanded, and cut to form a master batch pellet. The pellet and a polyethylene pellet are dry-blended in a ratio of 4:6 and put into an extrude. A cylinder part is set at 130-150 deg.C and a head part at 165 deg.C, and a pellet molten material is extruded on a conductor while it is foamed to cover the conductor to obtain a foamed insulated wire. The foamed material is high foaming capability and high strength, and the insulated wire with high electric performance, capable of conducting high speed high density transmission, and with low dielectric constant is obtained. |
