<p>PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device which permits easy production, has durability without deteriorating element characteristics by impression of a driving voltage and can be driven with high performance and high stability by relatively simplifying the construction of the liquid crystal display device provided with varistor elements between the scanning electrodes and pixel electrodes of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device consists a two-terminal element type provided with a liquid crystal layer 14 between a lower glass substrate 10 disposed with the varistor elements as active matrix elements and an upper glass substrate 17 facing this glass substrate. The first scanning electrodes 11 and second scanning electrodes 20 which are respectively different are connected respectively via the first varistor elements 13 and the second varistor elements 21 to the respective pixel electrodes 12 on the lower glass substrate 10. This method consists in driving such device.</p> |
