PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for filling a capillary tube with liquid, capable of ensuring high accuracy, regardless of the use of a commercially available and inexpensive constitution elements. CONSTITUTION: Regarding a method and a device compatible therewith for filling a capillary tube 1 with liquid fed from a vial 7 for the capillary tube electrophoresis in particular, an overpressure source 22 and a low pressure source 23 are connectable to the vial 7 and overpressure or low pressure is applied to space above the liquid. At the time of filling the liquid, related valves 24 and 25, for example are operated for corresponding pressure source control, thereby continuously varying the pressure in a controlled mode. The pressure is first increased gradually and then lowered gradually. In this case, an actual pressure change at a filling process is measured with a pressure sensor 30 and a controller 31 controls the length of time intervals when the overpressure or low pressure is applied, thereby introducing a desired amount of the liquid into the capillary tube 1. |
