PURPOSE:To improve display quality by using a specific acrylic resin monomer for the color filters provided by each color in an arbitrary number of colors and desired pattern shapes by coating the surface of a substrate with coloring resin compsns. essentially consisting of the acrylic resin, org. dye, dispersant and solvent, thereby hardly generating flaws after the formation of the color filters and obviating the generation of a change in the thickness of the color filter even if spacer, such as beads of liquid crystals exists. CONSTITUTION:The color filters are provided by each color in the arbitrary number of colors and desired patterns by coating the surface of the substrate with the coloring resin compsns. essentially consisting of the acrylic resin, org., dispersant and solvent. The acrylic resin monomer is the compd. expressed by formula I to formula III. The color filter consist of the monomer compsn. which is a resin contg. at least structures expressed by the formula I and the formula II and one or more kinds of the formula III and have the compsn. ratios consisting of 15 to 30 pts.wt. formula I, 10 to 30 pts.wt. formula II and 40 to 30 pts.wt. formula III. |
