The invention concerns a system for bearing and bolstering bridge sections for underwater pipelines that has a frame (1) bearing a self-locking, vertically movable slide block (8) that has in its lower section mechanically expandable gripper fingers (24) that can be locked in grasping and lifting the pipeline; the frame (1) also has extendable self-locking props (35) as well as means of coupling to a laying module, from which all installation functions can be controlled.
