<p>PURPOSE:To enable stream fairing to an auxiliary flow passage without using a stream fairing net by providing projections or grooves at an inlet part of the auxiliary passage. CONSTITUTION:An air flow meter is constituted of a body 1 and a module 2. Air sucked into the body 1 is separated into a main flow passage 3 and an auxiliary flow passage 4. A heating resistor 5 and a temperature sensitive resistor 6 are connected to a support pin 7 and arranged in the passage 4. An electric current for heating to a fixed temperature is applied to the resistor 5 arranged in the passage 4. This heating temperature is not relative to an intake air quantity, a temperature difference between the resistor 5 and air is kept at a specific value, and air temperature is corrected by the resistor 6. In this constitution, a plurality of projections are provided at an inlet part of the passage 4. According to this forming, even when current velocity distribution of air flow into the passage 4 is changed, flow rate distribution is uniformed so that influence degree to measurement accuracy can be decreased.</p> |
