PURPOSE:To obtain an extract of Gymnema silvestre having low bitter taste and useful as a health food and tooth-cleaning agent, by extracting dried leaf of Gymnema silvestre with water at a specific temperature for a specific period. CONSTITUTION:Dried leaf of Gymnema silvestre is immersed in water of 20-50 deg.C and extracted for <=1hr, preferably 15min-1hr to obtain an extract of Gymnema silvestre, which is added to various foods to obtain health foods or added to a tooth-cleaning agent such as tooth paste, tooth powder, mouth wash, etc. |
