PURPOSE:To obviate deterioration in developability and to enable development with pollution-free water by incorporating a water soluble high-polymer compd. and a water soluble photosensitive compsn. consisting of a photopolymn. initiator and/or photosensitizer into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains the water soluble high-polymer compd. of 5,000-1,000,000mol.wt. having a photopolymerizable or photo crosslinkable olefinic unsatd. double bond group and the water soluble photosensi tive compsn. consisting of the photopolymn. initiator and/or photosensitizer. The printing plate is generally stable as far as the plate is preserved in a dark place if the photosensitive layer of the photopolymn. or photocrosslinking type is used. The stable image is obtd. by sufficiently photocrosslinking the high- polymer binder to solubilize the photosensitive layer in water to crosslink the binder up to the front face of the photosensitive layer in contact with the sili cone layer in the exposed part. The printing plate which has good stability with lapse of time and can be easily developed by the pollution-free water or the developing soln. essentially consisting of the water and the stable plate making is enabled. |
