PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in performance due to the lack of lubrication by forming a passage on a front side block which forms a vane pressure chamber while forming a cutout on a capacity control plate and communicating said passage to said cutout only when the capacity of a compressing operation is reduced. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 7 is rotated at a low speed, since a capacity control plate 6 is placed in a defined position, a compression operating chamber 13 compresses a refrigerant gas at the maximum capacity. At this time, since a passage 35 is not communicated to a cutout 40, a lubricating oil in a vane pressure chamber 12 can be prevented from leaking in a large quantity. On the other hand, as the rotor 7 is rotated at a high speed, since the capacity control plate 6 is rotated so as to communicate the passage 35 to the cutout 40, the lubricating oil in the vane pressure chamber 12 leaks into a gap between the capacity control plate 6 and a front side block 5, flowing into a suction chamber 15. And, the lubricating oil is further fed from the suction chamber 15 into a cylinder 2 to carry out the cooling action and sealing action of each part.
