A bangle (2) comprises a first bangle portion (4), a second bangle portion (6), a hinge (16) which hinges the first and the second bangle portions together such that the first and the second bangle portions can move between open and closed positions, and fastener means for fastening the bangle in a closed condition, the fastener means comprising at least one tongue (18,20) which is fixed to the first bangle portion (4) such that it extends from the first bangle portion and locates inside the second bangle portion (6) when the bangle is closed and such that it extends between the open ends of the bangle when the bangle is open, the tongue (18,20) being such that it is provided with clip means (22) which cooperates with the second bangle portion (6) to releasably fasten the bangle in the closed condition, and the clip means (22) being located inside the second bangle portion when the bangle is closed.
