PURPOSE:To stably hold the abutting edge accuracy of a metallic thin piece blade against an image carrying body, and to obtain a sufficient cleaning effect, by welding by pressure a metallic thin piece blade whose edge straightness in the upper and lower direction is <=40mum, against a holding member having a reference surface whose flatness is <=10mum, and straightening a deflection of the blade. CONSTITUTION:A metallic thin piece blade 12 provided in an abutting state against an image carrying body 1 is formed so that the edge straightness in the forward and backward direction becomes <=40mum. Subsequently, this blade 12 is welded by pressure against holding members 13, 14 having a reference surface whose flatness is <=10mum, and the edge straightness in the upper and lower direction is set to <=30mum. In this way, by pressing the metallic thin piece blade 12 against the reference surface of the holding members, 13, 14, and straightening a deflection, the edge accuracy of the blade is obtained stably. |
