GASKET FOR ELECTRODIALYSIS

Gasket to be used in an electrodialysis cell comprises a retriculated spacer and a gasket frame united with the spacer. Vulcanised rubber is partially packed in the space, and the spacer has a channel- forming construction. The gasket frame is made of a vulcanised rubber sheet. The gasket is useful in an electrodialysis cell for concentration or desalination of an electrolyte. Owing to the unification of the vulcanised rubber part paced in the spacer to the gasket frame, a proper channel spacer can be easily formed. The unification is also effective in the uniform dispersion of the electrolyte, reducing a leak current and leakage of the electrolyte.
