PURPOSE:To prevent the jamming of paper, by judging the difference between the level change timings of the detection signals from two detectors in an inclination judge part when said difference is generated. CONSTITUTION:Photosensors 20, 21 are arranged on the straight line in the direction vertical to the usual feed-out direction of paper 2 and the level change timings of the detection signals P1, P2 outputted from said photosensors 20, 21 are taken by an inclination judge part 30 and, where there is difference between said timings, an error signal E showing the inclination of the paper 2 is issued. By this method, the oblique feed-out of the paper 2 being one cause of the jamming of paper can be detected and the feed-out of the paper is stopped by the detection of inclination to make it possible to prevent the jamming of paper.
