The selector-delimiter uses transducers giving data on the angular position of the crane, a data processor, and a regulator coupled to the drive to the rotary apparatus. The transducers may be potentiometric, controlled oscillatory, capacitive, or inductive, and their output signal is compared against limiting data to determine whether the drive is to be operational or not. An electronic circuit, including a comparator element, is used to disconnect the drive when the comparator output signal becomes equal to values corresponding to the limiting positions of the rotary plant in either clockwise or anti-clockwise senses of rotation from the straight-ahead position. The device may be remotely controlled and monitored either by radio or cable link.
