PURPOSE:To obtain a cartridge-checking system for easy checking of a character generator cartridge, by reading sequentially and alternately the contents of cartridge simultaneously mounted, through two reading parts provided correspondingly respectively to the cartridges, and collating the read contents with each other. CONSTITUTION:A font CG cartridge A used as a reference, having the same content as that of a cartridge to be checked is inserted into a connector 21, and the cartridge B to be checked is inserted into a connector 22. A firmware 5 is used to obtain a condition wherein the contents of the cartridges A, B can be read through reading parts 41, 42. It is checked whether the content of the cartridge A is a font CG, and then whether the content of the cartridge B is a font CG. It is checked whether the contents of the cartridges conform to the same font style, followed by the verification of the contents of the cartridges. Thus, the acceptability of the cartridge being checked is discriminated by comparing the contents of the two CG cartridges having the same font with each other and issuing an alarm when the contents disaccord with each other. |
