A composite article and method for preparing the same wherein such article is composed of a macromolecular organic substrate having at least one surface wherein the contact angle of water to such surface is less than about 80 DEG , a base coating for such surface of a copolymer consisting principally of a normally crystalline vinylidene chloride polymer coating and a top coating containing an antisticking agent.
