The channel extends at least thro ugh the first end toward the second end, the channel configured and disposed to receive an electrical conductor (50). A contact gripping element (28) in termediate the first and second ends extends into the channel at an angle fr om the axis. The contact gripping element is associated with the body. The c ontact gripping element terminates at an end (42) having a reduced thickness . The contact gripping element is configured to exert a contact gripping con tact force on the electrical conductor.
