DISPLAY METHOD, ELECTRONIC PAPER ASSOCIATED WITH IT, PORTABLE INFORMATION TERMINAL, PORTABLE TELEPHONE, TELEPHONE SET, TELEVISION OR PERSONAL COMPUTER, AND DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can be easily used by a user by using a plurality of display devices in cooperation with each other, while displaying the whole picture on one of the display devices and displaying a part of the picture on the other.

SOLUTION: Distance measuring instruments 603-605 arranged in a display device 601 measure distances up to distance measuring instruments 606, 607 arranged in a portable telephone 602, respectively, and find out three-dimensional coordinates of the distance measuring instruments 606, 607 by resulting distance information. The display device 601 transmits image information displayed on a rectangular area 608 specified by a position corresponding to a case where perpendicular lines are drawn from the positions of the distance measuring instruments 606, 607 to the display device 601 to the portable telephone 602. Further, a rectangular area 708 obtained by magnifying the rectangular area 608 three times in horizontal and vertical directions for instance can be also transmitted.
