PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain liquid crystalline resin pellets which show high feed properties and smooth dispensing properties. SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline resin pellets contain a liquid crystalline resin which is obtained by causing the resin in a fluidizing state to pass through a discharge orifice and cutting the resin. When the average length in a perpendicular direction with the cut face of the pellet is given as M, the average length of a longest diameter (long dia.) of the pellet cross section as T, the average length of a shortest diameter (short dia.) as Z and the standard deviation of the average length M in a perpendicular direction with the cut face of the pellet as (Mσ), the formula: 1 mm<=M<=2.5 mm, 1 mm<=T<=2.5 mm, 1 mm<=Z<=2.5 mm and Mσ<=0.15, (M+T*Z)<=7 mm, (M-Z)<= 0.5 mm, (T-M)<= 0.15 mm is satisfied. |
