PURPOSE:To enable to increase the laser output by making uniform the distribution of speeds of medium gas in a laser tube and then enlarging the glow discharge region by a method wherein the axis of a gas inflow tube is fixed in the positional relation of being almost at right angle to the axis of the laser tube and of no intersection of both the axes. CONSTITUTION:The axis 7a of the inflow tube 7 feeding the medium gas into a laser tube 1 and the axis 1a of the laser tube 1 are fixed in the positional relation of no intersection. Thereby, the medium gas flowing into the laser tube 1 at the shortest distance and that flowing thereinto in a whirling current are generated. Therefore, the distribution of speeds in the tube is made uniform, the glow discharge region enlarges almost over the entire region in the laser tube, thus generating the effect of the increase of the laser output. |
