摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To decrease the load of a living body by a compressing device when a blood pressure change is small so that a blood pressure value can be adequately monitored in spite of an increase in the blood pressure change by setting measurement intervals shorter with an increase in the change rate of the blood pressure by a measurement interval setting means. CONSTITUTION:A control device 28 is constituted of a microcomputer having a CPU, ROM, RAM, and I/O port, etc. The CPU outputs a driving signal from an I/O port and controls a selector valve 16 and an air pump 18 to adjust a cuff pressure P by executing signal processing in accordance with the program previously stored in a ROM. The blood pressure values, such as max. and min. blood pressure values, are determined in accordance with the change in the amplitude of the pulse waves indicated by a pulse wave signal SM and are displayed on a display device 32. The CPU calculates the change rate of the blood pressure from the max. blood pressure values measured at this time and previous time and sets the intervals of the blood pressure measurement shorter as the change rate of the blood pressure is larger.</p>
